DVD Review: Enemy
Jake Gyllenhaal meets his doppelgänger – or so he thinks, but in reality, maybe there is no doppelgänger. Hhhmmm, interesting, but in the film they at first freak out then argue over whether they are secretly fucking each other partner. Yes, it’s a film where Jake gets to make out with two good looking and very naked ladies. No surprises as to why Jake said yes to this film.
Although, he probably should have read the nonsensical script first.
Enemy takes weird to new levels, with a bizarre opening scene that immediately makes you question the M rating on the cover, then jumps to a seemingly completely different storyline. It’s Jake meets Jake, then Jake vs Jake. The film drags on, giving hints as to it’s bizarre nature but never really goes anywhere.
Finally it ends in one of the most unpredictable endings ever. Unpredictable because it’s so overt the top, but at the same time firmly suited for the head trip you’ve just endured.
Rating: M Sex scenes and offensive language.
