Star Wars: The Last Jedi
The latest Star Wars movie was okay. Directed by Rian Johnson, who is also set to direct another trilogy of Star Wars, the film felt much like that of Return of the Jedi of course with little differences.
The film brings back, Rey, Poe, Finn, Kylo Ren and BB8, as they learn more about themselves as characters and battle the first order. The film starts with the resistance nearly destroyed and Supreme Leader Snoke powers on attempting to snuff out the remnants. Rey is with Luke trying to convince him to come and help.
The battle scenes were as amazing as they usually are in Star wars. Though possibly the wonder of them were underturned because the CGI was quite obvious and it didn’t feel like star wars because of this. The introduction to new and beautiful creatures was great, The crystal foxes and the horse like, Equine, these were amazing to see; although Porgs were and forever will be like Ewoks for me.
As i said at the beginning of this review, it felt too much like The Return of the Jedi reimagined, and unlike Rogue One, it just didn’t feel new.
It’s a good film if you just want to sit there and immerse yourself in some Star Wars but if you were expecting something original you will feel left empty.
Rating: M Violence.
