There are many ways to enjoy a film at home, and whilst popcorn and coke or beer and pizza might be the more popular accompaniments, and these do work well with the latest Micheal Bay blockbusters, nothing quite beets a nice glass of wine and some cheese and crackers when settling down to enjoy a decent drama or engaging art-house film.
The only problem is that I’m no wine connoisseur, so picking a bottle can be a bit like Russian Roulette.
Fortunately this weekend I’m heading into the city to attend Winetopia, an event set across two days, split into three, three and a half hours long sessions. Winetopia encompasses an exploration of New Zealand and international wines, talks, entertainment, and food pairings.
Winetopia is presented by Singapore Airlines is focused on wine, the event is R18 – further ensuring a relaxing and mature atmosphere in which to unwind in the search for your favourite drop.
