Eddie The Eagle
Eddie The Eagle, if you’re not old and British, much like myself, you might be thinking that it’s some kind of animated children’s film about an eagle named Eddie. But trust me when I say that its not. It is nowhere close to being that.
Eddie the Eagle is an inspirational film about a boy (not a eagle) who wishes to go to the Olympics games. It is based on the true story of Eddie Edwards, and his road to the winter Olympics, and tells a tale of never giving up on your dreams, which is something I think, at least in my opinion, everyone needs to know.
The film stars Taron Egerton (Kingsman: The Secret Service) and Hugh Jackman (X-Men) which is a smashing pair up and they really put on a brilliant performance that shines a light on what it felt like to change everyone’s perspective of you, from people thinking you’ll never be able to do something but you proving them wrong, which is exactly what Eddie does.
This is truly an amazing film and should be watched by all at some point or another.
Rating: PG Coarse language and sexual references.
