Robot Chicken: Star Wars
As satires go, Robot Chicken: Star Wars hits the nail on the head by keeping the pace sharp, by not trying to recreate the whole shebang, and by deviating to mock everyone from George W Bush to those crazy fans boy right down to the man who created the whole mess in the first place, Mr George Lucas.
Of course, being the brainchild of Seth Green and produced by Adult Swim, this little quick-witted comedy isn’t for the kids, so tuck them in bed and settle in for a relentlessly funny 23 minutes that will make you glad you sat through all six Star Wars movies so you can enjoy then being fearlessly mocked.
As for the stop motion animation, it’s realistic enough that you can tell whose who, but crude enough to keep everything light and funny.
